Teachers in RSU 71 continue to work on developing plans that will support continued education for our students at home over the next few weeks. 
These plans include both low tech (paper and pencil/minimal materials K-2) as well as high tech (websites, Google Classroom, Learning Applications/Grades 2-12) activities that reflect routines of teachers’ classrooms that can easily be followed by students at home.
Hard copy packets/plans are available school-by-school as needed.
Consistency, predictability, and personal responsibility (chores/helping out at home) are also key for our learners. Here is a suggested schedule to may help your household plan for learning at home days.

Options if you need Internet at home:

RSU #71 schools: We have created a new network that has no password called: RSU71_Guest
Feel free to use this network from school parking lots anytime.

Xfinity: Free WIFI on their hotspots. There are a few in Belfast.  http://wifi.xfinity.com

Spectrum: 60 days free to select new customers:

o   Households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any service level up to 100 Mbps. To enroll call 1-844-488-8395.  Installation fees will be waived for new student households.

o   Charter will open its Wi-Fi hotspots across our footprint for public use

o   Spectrum does not have data caps or hidden fee
